Palaeoecological and palaeoclimatic data provide a unique record of how vegetation, land use and climate have covaried in the past, on time scales relevant to vegetation processes and global change projections. New palynological methodology including pollen‐vegetation calibration, Landscape Reconstruction Algorithm (LRA) and simulating pollen dispersal and deposition will be introduced in this course.
