DR DEGREE: 22/5 1979 at Lund University (LU) in Quaternary Geology, based on a Master Sc. degree in Mathematics, Geology, Physical Oceanography and Environmental Science.

POST-DOC: Dept. of Geology and Geophysics, Minneapolis, USA, June 1981-May 1982.

CURRENT POSITION (since 2000): Professor Chair at LU, head of Quaternary Sciences.

1973: Worked as a geologist and hydrologist for the Environmental Protection Board of the province of Halland.

1973-74: Worked with Quaternary geological mapping for SGU for 5 months.

June 1981-May 1982: NFR post-doc in Twin Cities, USA.

Chosen as the Geologist of the Year (Årets Geolog) in 2006 by Sveriges Naturvetarförbund.

Received the price Björkénska Priset (95.000 SEK) in Uppsala 2007 awarded every 4th year to a chemist, mineralogist or a geologist.
